Ping test
Latency (ping) is how long a round trip to a server takes. High latency causes lag in video calls, gaming, and anything real-time, even on a fast connection. This test averages several requests to our server and runs automatically below.
Round-trip latency to our server
—
Averages 5 requests. Browser security prevents true ICMP ping, so this measures HTTP round-trip time — a close, practical equivalent.
What the numbers mean
Avg is your typical latency, Min the best case, and Max the worst. A large gap between min and max (high jitter) can cause stutter in calls and games even when the average looks fine.
Lowering your ping
Prefer wired Ethernet over Wi-Fi, close bandwidth-heavy background apps, move closer to your router, and pick servers geographically nearer to you.
