2. Information We Collect
2.1 Connection Data (Processed, Not Stored)
When you use our connection testing tools, we temporarily process the following information to display results to you:
- IP address (IPv4 or IPv6)
- Approximate geographic location derived from your IP
- HTTP protocol version and TLS version
- User agent string
- Accept-Language header
This data is processed in real time to serve your request and is not stored on our servers, logged in a database, or associated with any user profile. It exists only for the duration of the HTTP request/response cycle.
2.2 Browser-Side Data (localStorage)
We store the following data in your browser's localStorage for the uptime tracking feature:
- Session duration (best time, total time)
- Visit count
- Last visit date
- Theme preference (light/dark)
This data never leaves your browser. We cannot access it. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.
2.3 Analytics Data
We use the following third-party analytics services:
- Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, referral sources, device information, and approximate geographic location. You can opt out using Google's browser opt-out extension.
- Vercel Analytics — collects anonymized performance and usage metrics. No personally identifiable information is collected. See Vercel's Analytics Privacy Policy.
2.4 Server Logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server logs including IP addresses, browser types, and access times as part of normal infrastructure operations. isinternetup.com does not access or use this data directly. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require or support user accounts
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact information
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels (as of this writing)
- We do not sell, rent, or trade any data to third parties
- We do not build user profiles or perform behavioral targeting
4. Cookies
isinternetup.com itself does not set first-party cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can block these via your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out extension linked above. In the future, if we integrate advertising networks, additional cookies may be set by those third parties, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services:
- Vercel — hosting and edge functions
- Google Analytics — website analytics
- Google Firebase / Firestore — daily status report storage
Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. We select services that align with reasonable data protection practices but cannot guarantee their compliance with all jurisdictions.
6. Advertising
This site contains designated ad placements. As of the date of this policy, no advertising network has been integrated. When ads are enabled, the advertising partner may collect data subject to its own privacy policy. We will update this section at that time to disclose the specific provider and the data it collects.
7. Data Retention
Connection test data is not retained. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics and Vercel's default retention periods. Daily internet status reports are stored indefinitely in Firestore as public editorial content and do not contain user data.
8. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@isinternetup.com and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Request information about data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of analytics tracking
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Because we do not maintain user accounts or databases of personal information, in most cases there is no stored data to retrieve or delete. For analytics opt-out, use the tools described in Section 2.3. For any other requests, contact support@isinternetup.com.
10. California Residents (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. As described above, we do not sell personal information and collect minimal data. To exercise your rights, contact support@isinternetup.com.
11. International Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our lawful basis for processing analytics data is legitimate interest in understanding how our site is used. You have the right to opt out of analytics tracking as described in Section 2.3. For data access, correction, or deletion requests, contact support@isinternetup.com.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
