How we measure this

About once an hour we read Twilio's official status feed and record exactly what it says — we don't infer status from our own connection to them. When the feed can't be read, we record nothing rather than guess, so a gap in the chart above means “not monitored”, never “down”.

Uptime is the share of the 112 recorded checks where Twilio was not reporting an outage — a provider flagging degraded service is still up. Providers often sit at “degraded” for days over one small component, so counting that as downtime would say a service was offline all month when its own page said nothing of the kind.
