Internet Status โ August 7, 2026: GitHub Actions Recovered
No internet-wide disruptions today. The internet's core infrastructure โ major clouds, CDNs, and DNS โ is operating normally.
The day's notable incident was at GitHub, which logged its second Actions outage in two days. On August 6, GitHub Actions and Pages suffered roughly five hours of degraded availability starting around 15:22 UTC, with workflow runs failing to start or failing mid-run and errors from the Actions REST API. A follow-on incident on August 7 left some Actions Runner Controller (ARC) runner pods stuck idle, and push and pull request events were not processed while it lasted. GitHub reports the issue resolved and all systems operational (githubstatus.com).
Elsewhere, Twilio is working through regional carrier-level issues โ SMS delivery problems affecting subscribers in Bangladesh and Puerto Rico, and voice quality degradation on calls to Colombia landlines โ limited in scope (status.twilio.com).
Status pages for AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare, Akamai, OpenAI, Discord, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, Vercel, Heroku, and DigitalOcean all report normal operations. Recently resolved elsewhere: Cloudflare cleared a batch of Workers and regional network issues August 3โ5, Discord fixed a messaging failure on August 4, and DigitalOcean resolved App Platform and write-operation issues on August 6.
No BGP, DNS, or undersea cable problems were flagged today.
