Twilio Carrier Issues Ongoing

No widespread internet outage was detected on October 30, 2026. Core cloud and CDN providers are reporting normal operations, with a handful of localized incidents ongoing.

Ongoing:

  • Twilio: several carrier-specific messaging and voice problems are listed as active on status.twilio.com, including voice call failures to Romanian subscribers, SMS failures and delays to some Brazilian networks, SMS delays to Altice (US), post-dial delays to Thailand, and Silent Network Authentication failures on Indosat (Indonesia). Causes are identified for each. Planned SMS/MMS carrier maintenance is also running in Japan, the US and Canada.
  • Akamai: akamaistatus.com lists Edge Delivery issues between Indonesia and Singapore (fix applied Oct 25, being monitored) and a brief performance degradation in Mumbai and Chennai on Oct 27 caused by upstream packet loss. All components show Operational. Akamai is also evaluating customer security advisories for Brotli and F5/NGINX vulnerabilities.

  • Recently resolved: a GitHub Copilot cloud services disruption (Oct 29), DigitalOcean Managed Kubernetes cluster operations failures (Oct 27-28), and Claude connector and model errors (Oct 26-28).

All clear at time of check: AWS (page content could not be read, so unconfirmed), Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare (scheduled maintenance at several data centers may add slight latency), GitHub, OpenAI, Anthropic, Discord, Atlassian, Slack, Zoom, Vercel, DigitalOcean, Groq, Cohere, ElevenLabs and Stability AI. Heroku, Stripe and Meta status pages did not return readable incident data, so those are unconfirmed. Cursor's status address redirected to a different host and was not checked. Web searches and crowd-sourced sites surfaced no current widespread outage or BGP incident.
