Minor Cloudflare Incidents
No widespread outages today. The core cloud platforms โ AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure โ are operating normally, and most major services report all systems operational.
Cloudflare is the day's main story, with two minor incidents opened mid-day UTC: elevated error rates on Workers KV read requests in Western Europe (from 11:01 UTC) and failures in the Access IP-bypass list service (from 11:40 UTC). Both are under investigation, with writes and core CDN traffic unaffected. A WARP geolocation-accuracy issue open since August 27 also remains active, with a fix in progress (cloudflarestatus.com).
Elsewhere, Twilio is working through a cluster of carrier-level degradations: SMS delivery failures to Telma Madagascar, recovering voice-call issues in Hong Kong and the UK, and MMS delivery delays to C-Spire in the US. Slack's long-running issue with retrieving historical messages in workspaces that use custom data-retention policies, open since mid-August, is still unresolved. ElevenLabs had a brief outage of its customer-support ticketing system (its APIs were unaffected) and reports it largely restored.
Recently resolved: GitHub cleared elevated errors on OpenAI models in Copilot this morning (09:58 UTC, an upstream provider issue); Anthropic resolved about three hours of elevated errors on Claude Code on August 28; Akamai fixed an Event Center reporting outage on August 28; and Zoom resolved a Contact Center billing/reporting degradation in Europe on August 30. In the US, a brief overnight spike in Spectrum outage reports cleared quickly.
Bottom line: the internet is up. August closes out with isolated, minor incidents and no widespread disruption.
